Can anyone recommend a boarding school in Korat that provides good quality secondary education for girls but has a strict disciplinary regime.

I am pretty sure that there are none in Korat itself.

The nearest is St Stephen's at Pak Chong.

Not sure about the discipline there but it should be good for the fees they charge... Shocked Shocked

I knew that before St Mary was a boarding school.
The two children of a friend of mine went there to the boarding school, but this was +/- 10 years ago.
Not sure if it is only for girls, I thought it was mixed.
Also not sure about the disciplinary regime  Wink Wink Wink.
But I am sure there are some teachers from St Mary school that are members of this forum, they will give you the right information.

Suranaree Witthaya (I was working there 2 years ago) has the reputation to be the best high school in Korat. It's a government school (public) only for girls. Some of them (but only few, I don't know the rules) have rooms there. I believe only 30 out of 4500 live there.

Thanks for this information. Any more comments, particularly from teachers would be most welcome. Does anyone know of anything in Buri Ram as this closer for us than Korat.

St Mary's is still a boarding school.  I believe there are about 300 students that live on site...from first thru twelfth grades.  The English Program is only first and second grades.  It is a boy's and girls school.  I don?t know how tough the discipline is for students on site.  I would guess that they are pretty strict.

Assumption has boarders. They are well controlled by the staff, rise early in the morning and are required to help with chores such as cleaning. Not all children like that very much!  Smiley
