lawman heres your translation, it would be pretty useless in the thai section as all thais know there anthem from a very early age.

just a couple of points of interest.

Theres some parts of Thailand that when the anthem is played 8am and 6pm, everyone has to stop what they are doing, even walking.
Koh SIchang is one i have experienced.

the anthem was composed in 1932, and the lyrics added in 1939.

in 2007 there was a proposed bill of law. that was to state everything inThailand would have to come to a standstill at the appointed times of the anthem being played, if i can remember it was not introduced as they thought it would cause chaos.

                                                      Thai Anthem

Thailand is the unity of thai blood and body.
the whole country belongs to the thai people maitaining thus for the thai;all thai intend to unite together.
Thais love peace but do not fear to fight, they will let anyone threaten there independence.
they will sacrifice every drop of their blood to contribute to the nation, will serve there nation with pride and prestige full of victory.

Chai yo ( cheers)

Yes in Bangkok, eg Siam Square every evening...

But you only need to stop walking if you can actually hear the anthem (ie are in area where it is being played)...

For the Teaching community this would be a good thing to know as its is sung in schools daily.

As for coming to a standstill. If you are playing Golf or Horse riding on the Army base (Kai Sura) in Korat you will be familiar with the "ALL STOP". the even have red flags to stop traffic on the base.

Very respectful.
