If anyone is interested there is a teaching position coming available after christmas at HuhHuh? School. You need to contact the school for details but it is for prathom 5, teaching English and science. It is to replace a teacher who will finish after christmas,

Is that better?

allergic

the person who is to replace him may not desire to work for a school with such underhanded way of dealing with their staff.

and as korat dk said why mention it in the first place.

no wonder schools in thailand struggle to keep their teachers if this is the way they are treated.

Could had been more interesting if AA(no, not ano....alc.. Grin) told us WHY things didn't work for HIM, that he had to leave for OZ . I know it is not of "my d... busyness" and I don't care more or less, but some other readers could have interess if they were looking for a teacher job in Korat and that it is not as "to lie on a bed of roses" instead of pointing fingers at "quote": << and I don't really know the guy >>. In my word that's called : "Slander - Calumny - Difamation - Libel" = make your choice.

The big difference between a Falang and a Thai losing face is that the Falang normally just slips out of one and into another. By the way that is not aimed at everyone i have met in Korat.

Would one of you experts explain it to me please.

oz

the original post has been modified.

aa did nothing wrong he was asked by a school to help them find a new teacher, he just mentioned that the school was going to finish one of its teachers without that teacher knowing about it.

i asked if he had told the teacher and it grew from there.

i have since tried to get the post back to its original topic by asking if the teaching position had been filled.

so aa have they found their teacher yet?

I work for the same school and was informed that my services were no longer required after the end of March. There were already rumors about the the teacher to be sacked and myself. That was about 3 weeks ago.

They told the other teacher about his "future" on the 28th Dec .. 10 days after this post. I was told about my "future" today. So it looks like there will be another position at this well known Prathom/Anuban school.

They told me that my teaching was not up to scratch .. but I knew that was not true. I pressured the Head of the English Program to give me the real reason. She did. It was because several parents had complained about me smoking in the park across the road from the school. Oh my God! .. why don't they just shoot me? !

Time to head for the "Big Smoke" in BKK I guess!

Hello Mark,

What I don't understand is that if they tell you now that your finished in March, why not leave now? Why would you want to stay until March? You obviously don't believe their reasons for finishing you and feel as they have treated you badly, so leave now, only my feelings on how I would react given the same position. The other teacher, 5 Bob short of a schilling.

good luck,

Allan.
