Rainy already?

Hi Orchids,

Sad to see those pics (dark cloudy sky) coz I can't do anything to this land which has been left idle since after she build her house. I was planning to top up the land and build a perimeter fence. Now I am stranded.....

Gf told me that according to the Oxen prediction this year, there will be abundance of food, good rice yields and adequate supplies of water...which mean rain, rain and rain everyday....till when???

Hi Dodobird,

That looks terrible.

there will be abundance of food, good rice yields and adequate supplies of water

Still sounds good even could be flood sometimes in the city.  Smiley

I just drove back home and the street is like a canal.

I live around Ratchasima school I & II vicinity. There is an old irrigation pond adjacent to our village. During the raining season, most of the water were diverted to this pond and if the rain persist for a couple of days, the pond will overflow and flooded the entire village. Those who cannot afford to raise their land suffered in silence. (see pics below)

Dodobird54, The area shown in your photos looks like people have built their homes on public land.

If this is the case it could be the reason that the city is diverting water to there without consideration for those living there.

In that case they should go to City Hall and ask them to divert the water elsewhere.

Hi Dereklev,

According to my gf, the piece of land with the old irrigation ponding belong to a private owner hence has nothing to do with City Hall. The only way if I wish to use the land is to top up with soil/earth (approximately 1 metre high) which many of her siblings cannot afford. Sad

Currently, I am looking for someone who can clear the vegetation and top up the land.  Does anyone did this before, what will be the cost? Any lead will be appreciate. Cheesy

To clear the land and even out the imported soil you will need a tractor with bulldozer attachment 1500-2000 per day

Soil costs approximately 700Bt per truck load (or did when I bought it)

MY wife may still have or be able to get the phone numbers, so if you are interested pm me
