The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has ordered the closure of all of its 435 schools, 200 nurseries and 13 occupational training centres for five days from July 15 to 19 to prevent the spread of the A(H1N1) flu virus.

I've heard there's also some schools and nursery in Nakhon Ratchasima province ordered the closure from July 15-19 July. Outside Bangkok, the decision for school closure seems up to each school director.

Now 19 elementary schools in vicinity of Korat Municipality closed for a week, from now  till 11 or 13 of August. The Korat Municipality also ask for colleges / Uni in Korat City to close in the same period.

Hmmm... Hard to see how its better that infected kids spread to the general populous (via trips to the mall and game online stores) than the closed school group. But hey, maybe all the kids will stay at home and avoid contact with any non-essential surfaces.... oooo mummy! look, a flying pig!
