My TOT lines seem to be down from 1800 hrs everyday since last week. I did a SpeedTouch Connectivity Test and the result as follow :-

Connectivity to Gateway (113.53.48.1)...OK
Connectivity to DNS Server 1 (203.113.1.12)...failed
Connectivity to DNS Server 2 (208.67.222.222)...OK

Why 2 DNS Server?

Sometime the result say...Your DSL line is not synchronized. Check if your phone line is correctly connected to your SpeedTouch.

Anyone has the similar problems?

it's not TOT it's TOKEE as in minmakluey. They have a million miles of road in Thailand and a billion miles of phone lines on the poles. Wait till they figure out theres copper in there. One night all gone.

Sometime the result say...Your DSL line is not synchronized. Check if your phone line is correctly connected to your SpeedTouch.
The first DNS server is run by TOT. The second is Open DNS.

Line not synchronized means the signal quality of the phone line is not good enough for your modem to establish a DSL connection.

I have encountered frequent disconnection this morning, and it continue till the time of posting this.

As usual, I did a SpeedTouch Connectivity Test and the result as follow :-

Connectivity to Gateway (113.53.48.1)...OK
Connectivity to DNS Server 1 (203.113.1.12)...failed
Connectivity to DNS Server 2 (208.67.222.222)...OK

However, and to my surprise, the test result was read ;-

Is it a line problems or the internet connection? Huh Huh

So where is the BKK TOT server?

It shows on your test as less than 50 miles.

Derek,
you have to ask TOT for that  Wink Cheesy Grin. I just put my result there to compare with Dodobird who tested 8 minutes earlier.

Personally I think TOT uses a fictious point (maybe from one side of the city of Bangkok to other side).
There is only one place to choose from in Thailand viz. Bangkok so not possible to measure between Korat and Bangkok  Grin Grin Grin

Korat to Bangkok only 50 miles? Huh

Speedtest.net will look up your IP address to find your location.  However, it's not your actual location, it's where the IP address is registered.  I'm sure TOT and Maxnet has registered all their IP addresses in Bangkok.  If you go to http://www.iplocationfinder.com/ you will see that your location is Bangkok, not Korat.  So, Bangkok to Bangkok is less than 50 miles.   Smiley

For the past 2 evening, my TOT connection sucks.   Apparently, the connection was down from 1900 hr to 0700 the next morning. When I did a connection test, it appear that I have 2 IP address :-

1. 125.26.83.62 (usual IP Address)
2. 125.26.84.148 (it appear from no where) Huh

Anyone has problem with TOT lately?

I've been having problems with TOT for the past several days.  Really slow, but still able to connect, but have not been down.
