Hi Folks, this is the small home i started to build at the end or march when i was back home in korat, orginally the house was going to be a very small home for us to stay in while we started a bigger project when money was available but as the builders started i had a chance of heart and wanted them to make the first one bedroom and toilet idea into two bedrooms, kitchen, utility room and living room which actually didnt cost that much more (walls etc that is), the house is nearly finished now and im back in isaan after a long period working away, my wife had to be the foreman type thing so there was lets say alot of things that didnt go according to plan, alot of things that there simply wrong (a window put in where the shower was going to be) and quiet alot that turned out better than expected, most things really, the pink outside colour scheme was not a discission i would have made but its bright and cheerful says my wife so we`ll stick that one in my absense, the house was built using a next door neighbour for labour and two skilled builders again that live around the corner from us so have been very lucky in that respect,im looking forward to moving in maybe feb next year and will not miss sleeping on my wifes mums floor when i come home from working, we still have alot of the expensive stufff to do, the kitchen and toilet is not done yet, the water tank and aircon units are not done but everything else is completed, we will be building a large wall around the property as we all do here so thats something that will have to wait until more funds come. The complete build until has cost 730,000 Baht to date so im budgeting a further 350,000 for the remainder of the work leaving out of course the wall so hopefully we can remain on budget, here is some pictures of the house as it is now, i originally posted a long time ago on the forum and apolize for no replys for people but simply have not been back and internet access is classed as voodoo in EG, any questions related to the house please let me know, the location of the house is in Tia Chang, 14k outside Khorat city on the Buri Ram road.
