The atmosphere of New Year's Celebrations at "Ban Tumprakorn" one old people's home in Korat, located on Pho Klang road about opposite Siri Hotel. The party was organized by staffs there. There's some dance shows from kids and from staffs and some other entertainment activities.

It's good to know there is a place for people to go when they get to the point they need assistance and have no one to provide it for them.  I have the utmost respect for the staff of facilities that choose to provide this service. Sadly, there are exceptions, as in any profession, and the bad experience stories are the ones that people tend to remember, with the day to day positive care tasks taken for granted.
If we're lucky, we all will be "old people" one day, and depending on individual health status, may need these type of services. It's nice to see the staff having an event to raise the spirits of the residents, as many I'm sure look forward to seeing and participating in the celebration. There are some residents, whom family seldom visit, and any contact with the public is appreicated.
Thank you for providing this info, and I encourage all those that can, take a couple hours and pay a visit to those in less fortunate situations. Smiley

One can sponsor a few thousand baht to have dinner for a 100 people.
One can also prepare food themselves and deliver (please let them know in advance.
It is highly appreciated and gives a good feeling.

I think it's the same place as this one:

You will see quite a lot of pictures of that blog from Korat.
