Anyone else having problems with YouTube? The page loads fast enough, but the video never appears and the video window is eventually overlaid with a message that says, "An error occurred, please try again later."

This has been going on for three days now.

I've tried using a proxy server in the US. That enables YouTube, but it's rather slow.

Is the Thai government now blocking YouTube for some reason? All I'm trying to watch is some Thai language videos put out by AUA.

No problem for me and I am using TT&T. Do you have a link to the specific youtube video you are trying to watch. Perhaps there is only an error with that particular video?

I have Maxnet Premier. I have trouble with every YouTube video I try to watch.

The specific playlist I'm interested is here: ALG Thai.

If I use a US based proxy server, I can watch with no problem. So, it's something that either Maxnet or the Thai government is doing.

I also get an error for those ALG Thai videos on Youtube. I am starting to get errors suddenly also with other youtube videos however some still work. Something is going on. Maybe the problem lies with Youtube? If the Thai government would block youtube then you wouldn't be able to access the site to begin with. This error message seems to indicate that the problem lies with Youtube or the ISP.

If you do a Google search on "youtube an error occurred, please try again later", you will see that this is a common problem from time to time. But, I've had it quite consistently over the past three days. And, I find it unusual that a proxy server in the US circumvents the problem.

Yes, sometimes I get that message. When I do, the YouTube page is all messed up, as if composed by an idiot. I think it's caused by some elements of the page not loading correctly.

I had the same trouble before posting my question #9, when I was trying to look at your link ALG_Thai , when I tryed to open the video it showed only a black srean, then I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Flash Player:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
It seemed not too much help, even if I could see the msg, : Download was successful.
Then I runned :

http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe

<< You have version 10,0,42,34 installed >>

And Voila, now I can see the Thai lessons. Give it a try.

I didn't have to do anything. When I woke up this morning, YouTube was back to normal.

Another unsolved mystery.

All's well that ends well Grin Grin

Probably Maxnet messing around. When I used them no more than a couple of weeks would pass without some problem or other Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
