Hi. I need a room for up to 10 days between tonight until end of this month, January. I am working to resolve a legal matter in the area of Amphoe SongSang, west of Chok Chai. I can't afford anything fancy at this time. Just a clean bed in a safe place to rest my head at night. Is it possible for me to find something reasonable for under $300 baht or less a night? Like I said, I just need a clean bed in a safe place, nothing else. Be more than happy to pay a finder's fee of several cold beers.  Roll Eyes My story optional, same-same many Wink Can forward mobile/sms numbers upon initial contact.
Thank You.

If nothing closer, sure, I'll stay in Korat City.

M's apartment is about the same price:
http://www.koratmap.com/en/hotels/apartments-long-stay/ms-apartments.html

There are several places downtown at about 200 baht, like Cathay hotel (near Yamo - but there is a lot of prostitution there) or closer to the city pillar. For 200 baht, you have a fan, a bathroom, it's normally an old hotel but if you don't need more, that's fine.

Another place is just beside Yamo, at the entrance of Pho Klang. It used to be a jail many many years ago. There is a tunnel, it's almost in front of the new OTOP place that I believe is not open yet. Really 200 meters from Yamo. A friend of mine stayed there about 2 years ago and If I remember, it was about 250 baht.

If you want to pay 500, the Siri Hotel, or San Sabai are pretty good.

Another one quite cheap is the doctor's guesthouse. That's behing Pailin square, the road behind CC or near the railway. Many backpackers go there, or at Cathay because they are (or used to be) in the lonely planet.

there is a place in chokchai at 3000 per month and i think they do do nightly.

it is above a mini mart.

go into chokchai from korat and go thru main area only a couple of streets.

as you come out of main area you will see water/exercise park on left and big open area on the right. you need to turn right just before the big open area.

if you come to a massive council building on the right then u turn and go back and take your next left.

go down this road for around 100 meters and look right (only car pearking area on left massive open area) you will see min mart with rooms above,

hope this helps
